Join us for a lively journey into the humorous and heartwarming universe of René Goscinny, one of France’s most beloved writers. From iconic comic book heroes to unforgettable childhood stories, we’ll explore the characters that made generations laugh and think.
Discover what school life was like in 1960s France, reflect on the idea of patrimonial literature, and delve into the clever wordplay and comic genius of a true master of puns.
This workshop features a rich variety of literary formats—including short stories, comic strips, and poetry—and will also introduce you to other iconic French voices such as Sempé, Doisneau, Prévert, and Desproges.
Some light reading may be required between sessions to enrich the discussions.
